Kaimirimiri: Traditional Maori Mirimiri & Romiromi practitioner, and wananga facilatator

Nau mai haere mai Welcome to Aotea Traditional Maori Massage.

Growing up in Otautahi where my father was raised we grew up watching our whanau on the marae. Always participating in learning, at the pa. My parents would share their knowledge of Te Ao Maori. Our creation story from the beginning. It was lived daily and shared by our elders who would tell the stories of our people to the children so they would carry on the practices today.

A kaimirimiri and romiromi practitioner and educator for others who are interested in traditional Maori mirimiri & romiromi. Based in Otautahi (Christchurch), in a clinic near the city center as well as home-based, treating people with physical pain injuries, dis-ease, emotional/mental, and spiritual distress.

Registered as mirimiri and romiromi vendor for ACC offering rehabilitation, spiritual, mindful wellness, physical and whanau connection. Maori and non-Maori have access to treatment under traditional Maori massage for pain injuries, sensitive claims, and a world review of Maori manakitanga, aroha, tika, and pono relation to our world, connection to self, whanau, and our connection with te tai Ao, (our environment).

The love of our ancestors and absolute faith to hold fast to the matauranga (knowledge) handed down to our whanau, was cloaked in the aroha of our tupuna's prays.

Ahakoa he iti he pounamu

Despite being small you are of great value

Aotea Massage is here for the people and their whanau. We're a community wellness clinic, focusing on massage therapy and traditional Maori massage techniques.

We value the expertise, knowledge, and experience of Maori healing practices, and we blend this with modern mainstream healthcare and private integrated care.
